(2)羽根車出口直径(R2)、羽根車周速度

 羽根車の出口直径(R2)は

  1. 圧縮機効率
  2. すべり係数
  3. 平均比熱(Cp)
  4. 入口温度(T1)

を仮定すれば、下記の式より必要とされる圧力を簡単に計算することができます。

ただし、ηは圧縮機効率、Ψはスベリ係数、σはPower Inputファクタ、U2は周速度

 所定の圧力比を達成するために必要な羽根車出口径は、いままでの設計実績を基に羽根車の中で流れがどれだけ減速されることが可能であるかを仮定することにより、より正確に予測することができます。

(3)羽根車出口羽根高さ(B2)

 設計の初期段階では、羽根車のポリトロープ効率を仮定すれば(参考文献9)、羽根車を通過する流量と3.2項で仮定した減速比より出口の羽根高さB2を求めることができます。

 こうして予測される羽根高さは羽根車入り口、出口の相対速度の減速比と密接に関係しています。実際、予測された出口羽根高さをこれよりも高くすると、羽根車内での減速が進み効率は向上しますが、羽根車内での流れが不安定になります。逆に羽根高さを低くすると効率は低下するが、羽根車内での流れは安定します。すなわち、羽根車出口の子午面速度の設定は流れの安定性に関係していますので、出口の絶対流出角度と比速度を安定性パラメータとする方法もあります(図1.8、1.9)。

 従って、羽根車出口の羽根高さは、効率と流れの安定に関係しているので注意が必要でしょう(図1.10)(参考文献10)。

2-4 性能予測

 2-3節の(1)~(3)項で述べた方法で最低限必要なそれぞれの寸法の初期値を求め、それに羽根枚数、羽根出口の羽根角(β2)、ディフューザーなどの寸法やパラメータをいままでの設計経験から適切に選択します。それらを手持ちの、あるいは、市販されている性能ソフトを使って目的とする効率、圧力比に達するまで修正を繰り返せば設計点性能を満足する1次元寸法を選定できます(図1.11)。

 設計点性能が確定後、必要に応じて回転数を変えた分力性能を予測します。圧縮機能は各回転数に対する修正流量と圧力比、および等効率線で表されます(図1.12)。
